Benches

This bench is located in Tenants Harbor Maine directly on the ocean. The bench is an addition to an existing seawall made of crib granite. The purpose of the bench is multifold. The bench serves as a retaining wall for the sod earth grading that is higher than the crib rock. The bench keeps people from walking of the cribstone edge, finally the bench adds more places to sit and gather outside. The needs of the project dictated the materials chosen. The Tenants Harbor Bench had to be constructed out of very resistant materials due to the extreme nature of the environment. The stantions and support are stainless steel due to the corrosive nature of the Maine ocean, the seat decking is still to be chosen.
