Cool
air intake from the South through manual-operable awning windows.
During the hot summer months, a passive air conditioning system is achieved by generating a pressure difference throughout the building. In order to create a natural vacuum, high motor-operable awning windows are placed on the northeastern walls of the building and low manual-operable windows are positioned to the south and southwest. Flowing air set up by this vacuum cools the occupant and exhausts hot, stagnant air at the high points of the building. Each of the three shed volumes has this window arrangement.
