Demolition

To comply with city codes and preserve any usable materials, the original One-O-Five Walnut was cautiously dismantled piece by piece. Layers of remodeling materials added immense weight and stress to the already unstable support system. To prevent the structure from collapsing on the workmen or on the neighboring house, this dangerous task required careful ingenuity. The lumber from the original building frame was in excellent condition, therefore, the frame remained intact during the demolition.
